Alternative & Renewable Energy

Archer is an established firm with more than 80 years of experience helping clients. Our Alternative and Renewable Energy Group puts the firm’s long history of accomplished legal service to use to help clients on the forefront of new technologies.  Archer has played a major role in many of the key alternative and renewable energy projects throughout the mid-Atlantic region.  These projects have included, but are not limited to, obtaining permits and approvals for large solar facilities and solar arrays, negotiating agreements between energy companies and towns, and helping not-for-profits enter into Power Purchase Agreements. We regularly represent developers, utility companies, start-up companies, financial institutions and other entities.

The Alternative and Renewable Energy Group also counsels clients on legislative matters and governmental relations and provides guidance in maximizing the opportunities and benefits that renewable energy projects can provide.

Every client who considers an alternative and renewable energy project is doing something important for the planet and for his or her future. We take our representation of all clients seriously, whether the client is a large developer or a small homeowner, a designer, a property owner or a start-up company.
